For boys and girls from K-8th grade of all skill, experience, and ability levels! Through the week, we will focus on individual skill development, teach the fundamentals of the game, and make sure campers understand the value of being a good teammate. 

Randy Bennett Basketball Camps have been a staple in the Lamorinda community for nearly 20 years. Come receive top-class instruction from the Saint Mary’s coaching staff, along with current and former Gael players. Throughout the week, Coach Bennett and his camp staff will teach skills and fundamentals necessary to learn the game of basketball. Campers will be assigned a coach and placed on a team (based on age/grade level). Our staff is trained to ensure campers learn to work as a team, have a great attitude, compete, and have fun! Throughout the week, campers will grow their basketball and leadership skills, make new friends, and be immersed in the Gael community!

Location: UCU Pavilion, Madigan Gym, Rec Center

What To Bring: Basketball Shoes and Attire. Full-Day Campers (9am-4pm) will need to bring a lunch and/or money to buy pizza/snacks sold at the snack shack for $2 per slice.

Sample Daily Schedule:

  • 9:00am | Camp begins- Roll call & Introduction
  • 9:10am | Split gyms by division (age & skill level)
  • 9:15am | Fundamental stations (Shooting, passing, ball-handling, etc.)
  • 10:00am | Water/snack break
  • 10:10am | Competitions (vary by day)
  • 10:30am | Games (divided by age and skill level)
  • 12:00pm | Lunch (AM only campers dismissed)
  • 1:00pm | Camp begins- Roll call & introduction
  • 1:10pm | Split gyms by division (age & skill level)
  • 1:15pm | Skill building, competitions, etc. 
  • 2:00pm | 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 competitions
  • 2:30pm | Water/snack break
  • 2:45pm | Games
  • 4:00pm | Camp dismissal

Camper Drop-Off:

  • Monday- Kids will need to be checked in with an adult at the front of UCU Pavilion (Take a left at security station and follow the road to the building with the large video board out front)
  • The rest of the week, kids do not need to be signed in with an adult, coaches will take roll at 9am (or 1pm for PM only campers)

Camper Pick-Up:

  • Pick-up time is 4:00pm at University Credit Union Pavilion.
  • Campers must check out with an adult they recognize before being dismissed from the gym at the end of the session. 
  • A late fee may be charged if tardiness becomes a problem.
